ONE BIG MISTAKE YOU’RE CURRENTLY MAKING…

It’s this -> Being so scared of pissing people off.

Whether it’s;

👉🏻 Sending out emails to your email subscribers

👉🏻 Posting your opinion or experiences online

👉🏻 Being yourself and setting boundaries that someone else may not like

I talked about this a little in my podcast episode this week (link in my bio if you want to give it a listen) around the email side of things.

Because, let’s be real for a second – NOT emailing a list of people who actively told you they want to receive your emails in the fear of pissing them off, feels a little silly – right?

It can seem scary – I get it.

I’m scared some days too!

But by potentially pissing someone off (ahem, which you don’t factually know will happen until you do it, I’m just saying!) You will ATTRACT those people that agree with you, and DETRACT those that won’t.

————

Swearing, great example of this.

Not everyone likes swearing.

But there’s one guy I’m pretty loyal to and a fan off, an online PT called James Smith. He drops the C bomb on a regular occasion.

In doing so, he deters the people that hate it, and attracts people in to his community that don’t mind it.

Now I’m not say go off and start spouting with a potty mouth. No no no.

But can you see my point?

Think about the people who are the most well known.

Examples I can think of are:

→ Donald Trump

→ Katie Hopkins

→ Piers Morgan

→ Gordon Ramsey

→ The don – James Smith

LOTS of people ‘hate’ them. But also, possibly what may seem like a smaller group, love them. Agree with them.

Because they’ve chosen to stand for something. To be themselves. And to not give a rats bottom if they piss off some people.

Besides, It’s bloody exhausting trying to please all the people, all the time.
