It’s literally impossible to feel motivated all the time.

Shit happens.

What counts is that you have discipline. Habits. And as much as I want to say it’s okay if you don’t,  it kind of matters.

Recently, I feel like I’ve lost all my umph, but when I’ve sat and reevaluated what I do every single day. Do my habits match with the person I want to be?

Honestly? No.

And that’s no one else’s problem or fault than my own.

If you feel like you have no motivation, then try to start practicing discipline.

Do the important stuff.

I mean, unless it’s marketing related, don’t ask me what that is, I’m with you on this one at the minute.

It’s hard, of course it is. No one said it was ever going to be bloody easy.

But no one is there to do it for you. If you want something, be that a way of life, a certain job, whatever it is and you don’t currently have it… then it’s going to take some changes I’m afraid.

When I have little to no motivation, what works, just start doing something. I won’t lie, it can feel a little forced to begin with.

BUT, opening your emails, writing a to-do list, or even just taking a shower… Just do someTHING.

It was even my first point in my 2020 yearly reflections. I don’t know how I’d forgotten that.

When I do, I tend to almost prove to myself that I’m alright, so I move on to another thing.

Strangely, those days end up being some of my most productive.

But also, you don’t always have to be doing something. You’re allowed to stay in bed all day and rest. You’re allowed to go for a walk at 10am on a Tuesday morning if you fancy it.

Everyone has lulls. Everyone goes through it. Just know that you won’t always stay there, okay?

What keeps you motivated?
